Baden Powell Award

This elite recognition celebrates scout units showing master-level outdoor skills, active group engagement, and dedication to scouting principles during their summer residency. Troop 9006 proudly earned this distinction in 2026. Here at the Irish Centre of Pittsburgh, we celebrate this achievement by continuing to instill a deep sense of responsibility and love of nature within the spirit of every young person in our organization.

Troop 9006 attended Camp Frontier, Pioneer Scout Reservation in Ohio and Michigan this year for Summer Camp.

Outdoor Skills

Get ready for epic treks and awesome outdoor adventures where we explore nature and protect our planet together.

Troop 9006 scouts master cool stuff like paddling boards, scaling walls, catching fish, and aiming for bulls-eyes, plus art, safety, and trade skills that make every day an exciting new discovery.

Community Service

Troop 9006 prioritizes giving back to Pittsburgh through service projects that support our  local environment.

This Eagle Project Mural, done by the Troops newest Eagle Scout,  incorporated Solar Panels to highlight environmental stewardship while the inclusion of the church reflects the scouting value of Duty to God.
