Dublin ↔ Pittsburgh
During a meeting in January attended by the Irish Centre, new airplane purchases were discussed that will allow direct flights from Pittsburgh to Dublin. On May 25, 2026. Aer Lingus begins Direct flights from Pittsburgh to Dublin four times a week, connecting you to over 70 European destinations.

2026 Spring Preservation Project
The Troops 2026 Planting Project began in early March. The scouts are learning about sustainable environmental practices while improving the grounds of St. Theresa of Kolkata Parish. This project is possible through a government Grant sponsored by Care for Creation.
Troop 9006 Pancake Fundraiser
Join Our Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser Help empower local Scouts with every meal. 📅 Sunday, May 3, 2026 ⏰ 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM 📍 St. Catherine of Siena Church 1810 Belasco Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216 🎟 Admission: $8 per person Kids 5 and under: Free with adult entry Every contribution supports Troop 9006’s outdoor explorations and community service initiatives.
Monthly Scout Outing
This March, our troop ventured to Beaver Falls for a rugged weekend of camping. Scouts tackled merit badge requirements, shared meals over the fire, and hiked through the woods. Despite the biting 26-degree cold, they managed to keep their spirits high and their campfire blazing, earning their Frost Points.

Six Counties/Northern Ireland 1998 - 2026
On April 10, 1998, the Good Friday Agreement was officially signed, followed by successful referendums across Ireland. This educational course investigates the comprehensive details of the subsequent events and the profound cultural and political shifts triggered by this landmark peace deal.
Thursdays 7:30 - 9:00 pm - April 30, and May 4 , 11 and 18.

Irish History Course –
History of County Clare/ Contae an Chláir
Explore Clare's narrative: from ancient human relics and Neolithic Dolmens to the medieval reign of High King Brian Boru. We follow the county through the tragic famine years and into the 20th century, honoring the revolutionary leaders of 1916 who helped shape the modern identity of this Irish region.

The Pittsburgh Irish Hurling Club - Pucas/Na Laochra
The Hurling Club (Pucas/Na Laochra) is celebrated for their extraordinary work in promoting Ireland's ancient sports culture and fostering a vibrant community through athleticism and tradition in Western Pennsylvania. This recognition includes an award of $4,000 to assist with cultural development and sports heritage initiatives.

The Bell School

Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance
Granted $1,000 for their remarkable efforts in preserving traditional step dance techniques and their active participation in city-wide cultural festivals.
